*Weather* *Alert for the people of Andhra Pradesh* *Heavy rains with thundershowers in several districts in the next three hours.* *Amaravati:* The Meteorological Department has issued an emergency warning to the people of several districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It has been stated that there is a possibility of rains with thundershowers in several places across the state in the next three hours. Red, Orange and Yellow alerts have been issued for various districts depending on the intensity. *🔴 Red Alert (Severe Warning)* Officials said that the districts of *Srikakulam, Parvathipuram Manyam and Vizianagaram* in North Andhra need to be on high alert. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in these districts along with the risk of strong thundershowers here and there. *🟠 Orange Alert (Moderate Warning):* *Alluri Seetharamaraju, Visakhapatnam and Anakapalle* districts are expected to receive light to moderate rains with thundershowers. People of these areas have also been advised to be careful. *🟡 Yellow Alert (General Warning)* The Meteorological Department has announced that there is a possibility of light rains with thunder in the districts of *Kakinada, East Godavari, Sri Sathya Sai, Anantapur* in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. *Officials’ advice:* Officials have appealed to people, especially farmers and shepherds, not to come out during rain and thunder. They have warned them to take shelter in safe buildings instead of standing under trees and electric poles.
