Inspection of EVM strong rooms.. Surveillance of CCTV cameras is complete!

District Collector Himanshu Shukla on Tuesday thoroughly inspected the EVM godowns in the RDO office premises and gave instructions to the officials on security arrangements. Nellore: Nellore District Collector Himanshu Shukla has instructed the officials to strictly implement the guidelines of the Election Commission of India and take strong security measures at the EVM godowns. As part of the quarterly inspections, the District Collector inspected the EVM godowns in the RDO office premises in Nellore city on Tuesday along with representatives of political parties. The Collector, who thoroughly inspected the three godowns where EVMs were stored, made several instructions to the officials. He said that all measures should be taken at the EVM godowns as per the rules prescribed by the Election Commission. The security arrangements of the EVMs and VVPATs stored in the godowns, monitoring of CCTV cameras, seals, strong room security and the internal conditions of the godowns were thoroughly inspected. On this occasion, District Collector Himanshu Shukla inquired about the implementation of the SIR process across the district from the representatives of political parties. On this occasion, the representatives of the respective political parties explained their views and suggestions to the District Collector.
