As the special voter list revision program in Delhi begins on Tuesday, Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Kumar said that steps will be taken to ensure that those who lost their homes due to demolitions get the right to vote. He said that booth-level officials will visit every registered address and hand over the forms and collect them back. He revealed that special steps will be taken to include those living in temporary residences in the voter list. The draft voter list will be released on August 5 and the final list will be announced on October 7 after consideration of objections. Officials said that the aim of this program is to provide the right to vote to every eligible citizen.
