Devotion was evident during the full moon celebrations – Pothuraj was honored, and the student was felicitated.

Tallapudi Punnami Reporter, June 29: The Pournami Poojas and the installation of the idol of Pothuraj Swamy were held on Monday at the famous Sri Sri Sri Mavullamma Ammavari temple in Prakkilanka village of Tallapudi mandal on the occasion of Jyeshtha Pournami. It is a tradition for the village women to perform special poojas to the goddess on every Pournami day. On this occasion, the idol of Pothuraj Swamy, installed by the village couple Konduri Muralikrishna-Krishnaveni, was installed amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. Village elders, youth, women and devotees participated collectively and made the program a success. As per the invitation of the Mavullamma temple committee, young leader Alluri Vikramaditya attended and participated in the special poojas. Later, he said that he would always be ready to contribute his bit to the development of the Mavullamma temple and would provide the necessary assistance for the development of the temple. On the same occasion, Simhadri Praneetha Gayatri, a student who recently scored 575 out of 600 marks in the 10th class exams, was felicitated with a Dushshaluva and a memento by the Mavullamma Temple Committee. Speaking on the occasion, Vikramaditya wished that every student should recognize the hardships of their parents and bring them a good name by excelling in education. A large number of village elders, women devotees, youth, temple committee members and villagers participated in the program and performed the puja programs with devotion.
