Sri Kalahasti, June 27, (Punnami News): Telugu Desam Party State Secretary and State Tribal Advisory Council member Masarapu Subbaiah has requested District Collector S. Venkateswar to resolve the various problems faced by the tribals in Tirupati district on priority. He met the Collector at the Tirupati Collectorate on Sunday and submitted a memorandum. Speaking on the occasion, Subbaiah appealed to take special steps to ensure that tribal students in the district get quality higher education and better medical services. He also urged that the infrastructure, educational facilities and accommodation facilities in tribal Gurukul schools be further improved. He suggested that the authorities should take steps to identify the problems faced by tribal families living in rural and urban areas at the field level and immediately resolve them. He appealed to the Collector to set up mini Anganwadi centers in every tribal colony keeping in mind the nutrition, primary education and health services of children. Subbaiah urged the government to pay special attention to tribal welfare and accelerate programs to improve their living standards.
