Everything is ready for the Nellore Barashahid Dargah Rotela Festival, which is famous not only in Andhra Pradesh but also across the country. This historic annual festival will begin with great pomp from tomorrow (Friday). Thousands of devotees from Telugu states as well as many parts of the country are already flocking to Nellore city for this brotherhood celebration that goes beyond caste and religion. The Swarnala Cheruvu (Nellore Tank) has been decorated for this wonderful event where devotees exchange rotis in gratitude for their wishes, wishing for their wishes to be fulfilled. The district administration has completed large-scale arrangements in the premises of Barashahid Dargah and at the Swarnala Cheruvu Ghats so that the devotees do not face any difficulties. Drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, and special medical camps have been made available. It is estimated that 15 to 20 lakh people will come. Officials expect that the crowd of devotees will be even higher this time than last year. It is estimated that around 15 to 20 lakh devotees will visit the dargah and exchange rotis during this five-day festival. The number of ghats has been increased accordingly and the queue lines have been streamlined. The police department has made tight security arrangements for the safety of lakhs of devotees. Senior officials are conducting regular reviews on maintaining law and order and traffic control. Hundreds of CCTV cameras have been installed in the areas surrounding the dargah, parking zones and at the ghats where rotis are exchanged to prevent any untoward incidents. In addition, drone cameras have been used to continuously monitor the entire area and maintain a tight vigil. Special control rooms have also been made available to serve the devotees.
