Sri Kalahasti, June 21, (Punnami News): A notorious thief who tried to steal gifts from the Sri Kalahasti Sri Gnanaprasunamba Sametha Sri Kalahasti temple was caught by the temple staff. Seeing that the main hundi of the temple was full of gifts, the man tried to steal the money from the hundi by pretending to be a devotee without arousing any suspicion. However, the temple security staff, who are constantly alert, noticed his movements and caught him red-handed. The temple authorities seized the stolen cash of more than ten thousand rupees from him. During the subsequent investigation, the authorities identified the person who committed the theft as a resident of Rajahmundry. The temple Special Protection Force (SPF) officials handed over the accused to the One Town police, while the police registered a case and started an investigation. The officials revealed on this occasion that the security of the temple has been further tightened.
