Polavaram MLA Chirri Balaraju participated as the chief guest in the Annadata Sukhibhav – PM Kisan (For the farmer) first tranche of funds distribution program for the financial year 2026-27 organized in the premises of the Buttaygudem MPDO office and handed over cheques to the beneficiary farmers. First, a huge rally was organized from the Barrinkalapadu camp office to the Buttaygudem MPDO office with 100 cars. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the main goal of the coalition government is to make agriculture a profitable sector and to strengthen farmer families financially. He said that the promises made to the farmers during the elections are being implemented one by one, and as part of that, direct financial assistance is being provided to the farmers through the Annadata Sukhibhavva – PM Kisan scheme. The MLA revealed that Rs. 22.50 crore funds have been released as the first installment of the financial year 2026-27 to the eligible farmers of Buttaygudem, Jeelugumilli, Koyyalagudem, Polavaram, T. Narasapuram, Kukkunuru, Velerupadu, mandals under the Polavaram constituency. He said that these funds will be directly deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers and will be used for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other agricultural needs. He said that during the previous government’s tenure, farmers faced many difficulties and agricultural expenses increased due to lack of timely assistance. However, he said that now, after the formation of the coalition government in the state, it is giving top priority to the welfare of the farmers and implementing several welfare programs. He said that the development of farmer families is the foundation of the development of the state. The MLA said that while the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is implementing schemes like PM Kisan for the welfare of farmers, the state government is providing additional support through the Annadata Sukhibhav scheme. He clarified that the government’s goal is not only to provide financial security to farmers but also to further strengthen the agricultural sector. He said that special steps are being taken to create the necessary infrastructure for farmers in every village of Polavaram constituency, and the government is paying special attention to issues like development of irrigation resources, repair of canals, management of lift irrigation schemes, and improvement of agricultural power supply. He advised farmers to bring any difficulties they face to the attention of public representatives and agriculture department officials. The MLA advised farmers to use modern technology in the agricultural sector and achieve higher yields. He hoped that they would become financially stronger by taking advantage of all the welfare schemes being provided by the government. Later, several farmers spoke and thanked the central and state governments for releasing special funds for farmers and providing financial assistance.
