Principals of 19 CBSE affiliated schools in Nagaland have written a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They said that the three-language policy, especially the mandatory teaching of Sanskrit, is not suitable for the conditions of the state. They explained that since there are more than 17 major tribes and many sub-tribes in Nagaland, each community has its own language. They said that English is used as the language of mutual communication. They warned that students and schools will face difficulties due to the new policy. They urged the Center to provide relaxations keeping in mind the special conditions of the state.
