Innovative protest by tribal colony residents over electricity issues in Atmakur, Nellore district.

In Atmakur town of Nellore district, residents are facing severe problems due to frequent power outages. The residents of the town are alleging that the authorities are not planning ahead or are creating this problem. As part of this, the electricity transformer in their area burned down and there was no electricity for the last two days, and the electricity staff did not respond when they were informed several times. In protest, the residents of Ekalavya Nagar area of 19th ward of Atmakur town went to the nearby electricity substation and slept on the floor there to protest the negligence of the electricity officials. They stayed there until 3:30 in the morning and reached their homes. They said that the electricity problem in Atmakur town is often severe and that the electricity goes out most of the time at night, which is why they came here and slept and expressed their pain in this way. The locals are demanding that the relevant authorities respond at least now and fix the electricity problems in Atmakur town.
