On this occasion, petitions were submitted to the District Collector on two key issues related to children from poor, marginalized and weaker sections. 1. Implementation of Aarogyasri Scheme Poor families are facing serious difficulties due to the delay in enrolling eligible children who are more than five years old in the Aarogyasri Scheme. He urged that steps be taken to ensure that every eligible child is immediately enrolled in the Aarogyasri Scheme and quality medical services are provided. 2. Implementation of Education – Bridge Courses He urged that SC and ST children aged six to thirteen years who are away from schools should be brought back into the educational stream. He appealed to organize special bridge courses for them, enroll them in appropriate classes according to their age, and take steps to ensure their right to education. Stating that education and health are fundamental rights for children from poor, marginalized and vulnerable groups, Todeti Ashok urged the authorities to respond immediately and take appropriate steps without neglecting these issues.
