Speaking at a press conference held in Akkampet, Manubolu Mandal, on Tuesday, village head Ambati Venkatasubbareddy announced that he would give a reward of Rs. 50 lakh if anyone proves with evidence that he has misused Rs. 1 crore. He said that he is ready to account for every rupee collected for the construction of the temple. He said that he has donated Rs. 30 lakh and has been bearing the expenses of the incense offering for the past three years. Many villagers praised former sarpanch Kiran Kumar Reddy for his special services for the development of the village and asked him to refrain from making baseless allegations.
