*Thimmaraopet should be formed as a new mandal* *- Petition to MLA Ramadasu Nayak* *Enkur: Thimmaraopet*: Villagers demanded that Thimmaraopet Gram Panchayat be formed as a new mandal. The Gram Panchayat Sarpanch, MPTCs and village elders met with Vaira MLA Ramadasu Nayak and submitted a petition. They explained that there are 15-20 villages around Thimmaraopet, and all government offices have to travel 15 km1 to the current mandal center. Speaking on the occasion, the villagers said, “Thimmaraopet has all the qualifications to be the mandal center in terms of population, geography and revenue. If a new mandal is formed, it will be of great benefit to thousands of farmers, students and women in the surrounding areas.” MLA Ramadasu Nayak, who received the petition, responded and assured that he would always be at the forefront of solving the problems of the people and would bring the demand for the formation of Thimmaraopet Mandal to the attention of the government. He expressed hope that the state government would decentralize administration in accordance with the needs of the people and a good decision would be taken soon. Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch, ward members, farmers and youth participated in the program in large numbers.
