Protest in front of Marripadu Mandal Education Office
Atmakur (Representative of Harikiran and Punnami):
Students of Nandavaram Model School from Chunchuluru and Padamati Naidupalli panchayats staged a protest in front of the Marripadu Mandal Education Office on Wednesday, demanding the immediate restoration of the cancelled school bus. Speaking on the occasion, the students expressed their grief that they are facing severe difficulties in going to school every day due to the cancellation of the APSRTC bus arranged for the convenience of students going to Nandavaram Model School. They said that they are unable to reach school on time due to the lack of bus facilities.
The students said that they met Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who visited Atmakur during the victory celebrations of the coalition government, and explained their problem. Responding to this, the minister assured that he was responsible for providing bus facilities to the students and advised them to attend school every day and study well. In addition, the students and parents said that the minister has ordered the Atmakur RTC depot manager to take immediate action regarding the renewal of the school bus.
However, despite the minister’s orders, there has been no response from the depot manager so far, so it was revealed that a protest was held in front of the Mandal Education Office to bring the issue to the attention of higher authorities. Keeping the future of the students in mind, the students and parents urged the government and RTC officials to immediately restore the school bus. Along with the students, their parents participated in this protest.
