Indian companies are gearing up to raise debt funds ahead of the Reserve Bank’s interest rate decision on October 7. Bond issuances worth around ₹29,000 crore are expected to take place in the coming days. These include large corporates, public sector companies, infrastructure investment trusts and non-banking finance companies. Companies are taking swift steps to stabilise their current borrowing costs with expectations of a rise in interest rates.
