Demand for ₹1 Crore Compensation and a Government Job for the Family of Victim Sireesha

Mudhol / Nirmal: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Nirmal District Vice President Arif Ahmed has demanded that the government immediately provide ₹1 crore in financial assistance and a government job to a family member of the victim, Sireesha, a private employee and Adivasi youth. Condemning his illegal detention by the police at the Kalwa stream in Mudhol taluka while heading to join a protest demanding justice for Sireesha’s family, Arif Ahmed strongly criticized the authorities after being shifted to the Mudhol Town Police Station. He stated that suppressing the democratic right to protest reflects the total failure of the state government. Speaking from the Mudhol Police Station, Arif Ahmed demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy immediately step down from his positions as Minister of Home Affairs (Law and Order) and Minister of Education, citing a complete failure to ensure safety for women and to manage the state’s education system effectively. Key Demands: * Immediate Relief & Rehabilitation: Since Sireesha was a private worker supporting her family, the government must extend ₹1 crore in compensation and provide a government job to prevent her family from falling into distress. * Home Department Failure: Despite the Home portfolio being directly under the Chief Minister, crimes against women continue to rise. A lack of dedicated focus is leading to severe delays in criminal investigations. In accordance with constitutional responsibilities, the CM must relinquish the portfolio and appoint a full-time Home Minister. * Neglect of Education Sector: Due to the absence of a dedicated minister, the educational framework in the state is facing a severe crisis, leaving student and teacher issues unaddressed. * Demand for Decentralization: For transparent and accountable governance, the Chief Minister must resign from the Home and Education portfolios and delegate these responsibilities to capable public representatives. Arif Ahmed affirmed that the fight will continue until complete justice is served to Sireesha’s family and safety is guaranteed for women across the state. Uploaded Video:
