Peddanelatur, Gonegandla Mandal, August 1:
A Youth Awareness and Anti-Narcotics Awareness Programme was successfully organized at Zilla Parishad High School, Peddanelatur, Gonegandla Mandal, with the objective of educating students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspiring them to lead responsible, disciplined lives.
The programme was led by Circle Inspector (CI) Sri Chandra Babu, who addressed the students on the growing menace of narcotic drugs and explained the serious legal, physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse. He urged students to stay away from drugs, avoid bad company, and immediately inform parents, teachers, or police if they notice any suspicious activities related to narcotics.
The programme also featured an inspiring address by Sri Damodar Rao Kalavandla, who motivated students to focus on education, build strong character, and develop self-confidence. He encouraged students to make positive life choices, cultivate good habits, and become responsible citizens who contribute to society.
The school staff appreciated the initiative and expressed that such awareness programmes play a vital role in protecting youth from social evils and strengthening their moral values.
A large number of students actively participated in the programme and pledged to remain drug-free and spread awareness among their friends and families.
