Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that complete self-reliance in the security sector can be achieved only if the country’s capacity to meet its needs domestically increases. He laid the foundation stone of a modern aluminium extrusion press unit in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The centre will be used to manufacture key components required for the defence, space, missile, railway and aviation sectors. He said that in the current international situation, it is very important to increase domestic production capacities without relying on foreign imports. He believed that this project will play a key role in achieving the goal of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
