SPSR Nellore District June 27 (Punnami Representative) An electric bus going from Tirupati to Nellore met with an accident due to a tire puncture near Appaiya Gate in Venkatachalam Mandal. There were about 40 passengers in the bus, eight of whom sustained minor injuries. The bus, which lost control, crossed the road and crashed into a nearby field. Since the soil in the field was high, the bus stopped there, a major accident was averted. On receiving information, officials reached the spot and took up rescue measures. The injured were provided with basic treatment. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as the passengers got out safely.
