The accused referred the pregnant women to a clinic in Thukkuguda. Police caught lab technician Vijay Kumar, who was conducting sex determination tests at the clinic. Police also arrested receptionist Lokesh. A case has been registered against the three under the PCPNDT Act. Police said that revealing the sex of the unborn baby is a crime under the law. They warned that strict action will be taken if illegal sex determinations are carried out. The Vanasthalipuram police, which registered a case in this regard, has taken up the investigation.
