*Stock irregularities come to light..* *Fertilizers worth Rs.18.97 lakh seized..* *6-A cases registered against two shops…* Vigilance and Agriculture Department officials jointly conducted surprise raids on fertilizer shops in Tatiparthi, Podalakur mandal, on Tuesday. During these inspections, stock registers, DBT records, and APAIMS details were examined and several discrepancies were found. A stock discrepancy of 34.60 tons of fertilizer was identified in Chaitanya Fertilizers and its value was determined to be Rs.9,84,190. Similarly, a stock discrepancy of 76.515 tons of fertilizer was revealed in Balaji Fertilizers and fertilizers worth Rs.9,13,090 were seized by the officials. Officials said that fertilizers worth approximately Rs. 18.97 lakh were seized from these two shops and 6-A cases were registered against the respective managers under the Fertilizer Control Orders. Vigilance AO Venugopal, CI Subhani, Mandal Agriculture Officer V Pratap and vigilance staff participated in these inspections.
