Former MLA Pratap Reddy’s anger over farmers’ welfare in the alliance

Former Kavali MLA Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy has said that the welfare of farmers has remained completely in the air during the coalition rule, but there is no result except for statements. He visited the Somasila project in Nellore district under the auspices of the YSRCP on Thursday along with the party’s top leaders with the aim of implementing the Rayalaseema lift irrigation scheme. At a farmers’ meeting organized after the project visit. Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy said that the welfare of the farmers was the aim of the then great leader YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and Pratap Reddy recalled that he had worked hard for the Rayalaseema lift irrigation scheme when his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy was the Chief Minister. He praised YS Jaganmohan Reddy for always being at the forefront in providing timely irrigation water to farmers, providing remunerative prices for crops, and depositing farmer assurances directly into farmers’ accounts on time. Ramireddy lamented that the current coalition government has completely abandoned the welfare of farmers after coming to power. He said that the coalition leaders are showing cruelty towards farmers by ignoring irrigation projects and not providing remunerative prices to farmers, and that their followers, with the support of the coalition government leaders, are doing injustice to farmers by not providing urea stocks on time and selling them in the black market.* He said that the YSR Congress Party will always stand by the welfare of farmers, and even if the coalition government does not provide timely irrigation water and remunerative prices to farmers, or does not provide farmer assurances as promised in the elections, the YSRCP will stand by the side of the farmers and launch a large-scale movement, Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy Alliance for Farmers’ Rights On this occasion, he called on party ranks and farmers to prepare to confront the government.
