The royal road to health – Yoga -Ln KK Damodar Rao Impact Trainer

International Yoga Day was celebrated grandly by Lions Club, Impact International in the premises of ZPHS Peddanelatur School in Gonegandla Mandal of Kurnool district. A large number of students, teachers and villagers participated in this program jointly organized by Lions Club of Kurnool, Impact International and the school management. Speaking on the occasion, Lion Damodar Kalawandla, Regional Secretary, Region-11, said that yoga is not just exercise but a holistic way of life that contributes to physical, mental and spiritual development. He said that yoga is necessary for everyone in today’s stressful lifestyle and suggested that students should make yoga a habit every day. Students and teachers together performed various yoga asanas and pranayama to increase awareness about a healthy lifestyle. All the participants of the program pledged to make yoga a part of their daily lives. Many educationists and social workers who spoke on the occasion praised yoga as an invaluable gift that India has given to the world. It was stated that yoga brings health to the body, peace to the mind and balance to life. Lions Club members, representatives of Impact International, school principals, teachers, students and village elders participated in the program. The program ended successfully with the message “Let’s dedicate some time to yoga every day – let’s contribute to building a healthy society.” – Representative, Gonegandla Mandal
