The inauguration ceremony of the Girls’ Gurukula Junior College was held in Vanipenta, Maidukuru Mandal. State Minister Varyulu Smt. Savithamma, District Collector Sridhar and Maidukuru MLA Sri Putta Sudhakar Yadav were present as the chief guests of this program and inaugurated the college. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Smt. Savithamma appreciated the efforts being made by MLA Sri Putta Sudhakar Yadav for the development of education in Maidukuru constituency. She instructed the higher officials to provide all the necessary facilities to the college and take steps to ensure that the students get quality education. Later, the meritorious students were felicitated by presenting mementos. She explained the importance of planting saplings as part of environmental protection. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Shri Putta Sudhakar Yadav expressed his special gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Education and IT Minister Shri Nara Lokesh, In-charge Minister Smt. Savithamma and District Collector Sridhar for their cooperation in upgrading Vanipenta Girls’ Gurukul School to a junior college and starting classes in the current academic year. The MLA said that the government is working with the aim of making higher education accessible to girls in rural areas and hoped that the students would take advantage of the higher education opportunities through this junior college and scale greater heights in the future.
