State Housing, Revenue, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy* held a preparatory meeting with Additional Collector (Revenue) Benshalom and DCP Raja Mahendra Nayak at the main conference hall of the district integrated collector’s office on Friday to discuss the arrangements to be made in the wake of his visit to the district on the 26th of this month. Speaking on this occasion, the *District Collector* said that during the minister’s visit, the flag-off of 16 new garbage collection autos of Jangaon Municipality, foundation stone laying for the new building of the municipal dumping yard shed, sewage treatment plant (STP), Tahsildar’s office, housewarming program of 174 double bedroom houses, distribution of sanction documents of 500 Indiramma houses, and a public meeting will be held. He ordered that all arrangements for the public meeting to be held at the municipal office and Preston College Grounds be completed within the stipulated time. The officials of the concerned departments were instructed to complete the arrangements for the venue, canopies, backdrop, sound system, LED video walls, power supply, generators, air conditioning, drinking water, sanitation, medical facilities, fire fighting arrangements, parking, barricading, media enclosure, help desk, green room, transportation, directional boards, etc. in a meticulous manner. Seating blocks and counters should be set up for the beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses in mandals, and the beneficiaries should be brought on the basis of tokens in coordination with the Tahsildars, MPDOs and MPOs and the distribution program should be organized in a disciplined manner. The RDO should supervise the coordination and protocol arrangements of the entire program. The Municipal Commissioner should take up sanitation, drinking water, toilets and hygiene measures in the municipal office as well as in the vicinity of the venue. The Electricity Department officer should complete the arrangements for uninterrupted power supply, generator backup, and lighting. He also ordered that security arrangements be strictly implemented. He instructed the officials of the relevant departments to set up roads, barricades, and signboards leading to the venue, and to keep fire brigade, medical teams, ambulances, drinking water facilities, and emergency services ready at the venue. He clarified that all departments should work in coordination without causing any inconvenience to the people and make the minister’s visit a success. Similarly, the *DCP* said that special diversions would be implemented to regulate traffic, and separate parking areas would be set up for VIPs, officials, media, and the public. He said that barricades would be set up at necessary places in the assembly premises, entry and exit routes would be specially identified, and an adequate number of police personnel would be deployed to control the crowd. RDO Gopiram, ACP Bheem Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Rajasekhar Reddy, district officers of various departments, police officers, other relevant officials, and others participated in this meeting.
