He stated that many lives are lost due to not wearing helmets in road accidents. Creating awareness among the people about road safety, the SI said that wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler can protect them from serious head injuries during accidents. He made the motorists pledge that motorists must follow traffic rules and keep in mind their own safety as well as the safety of others. “A helmet is not a burden.. it is a protective shield for our lives,” said SI Mahendra, making the people aware.
