Kakinada District Representative, October 1 (Punnami News): Kakinada City MLA Vanamadi Kondababu said that the coalition government is working with the aim of welfare of the poor, marginalized and weaker sections and the progress of the people. He said that the ‘Mini Government is at Your Doorstep’ program is being organized to take government services to the people and to find out and solve their problems on the spot. He said that steps are being taken to ensure that the welfare schemes and government services provided to the people reach everyone who is eligible. MLA Kondababu spoke at the ‘Mini Government is at Your Doorstep’ program organized by the Kakinada Municipal Corporation at AMG School in wards 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 of the city constituency. The program was presided over by Corporation Deputy Commissioner K. Srinivas. *Pensions at the doorsteps of the people every month* MLA Kondababu said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is implementing a policy of taking pension distribution to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries. He said that pensions are being provided to the beneficiaries at the fixed time every month in coordination with public representatives and officials. He said that the government is taking steps to ensure that the eligible people get the benefits of welfare schemes without any difficulties. *Special attention on child nutrition* MLA Kondababu said that there is a need to raise awareness among parents so that eligible children, pregnant women and lactating mothers take advantage of the nutrition provided through Anganwadi centers. Former Minister Chakkala Ramachandra Rao suggested that the early years are very crucial for the health and growth of children, and parents should pay special attention to nutrition at this stage. *Efforts to establish a high school in Dummulapet* In the wake of the increasing number of students in government schools, the government is focusing on educational infrastructure, Kondababu said. He said that the process of land acquisition and proposals for the establishment of a high school in the Dummulapet area has already been undertaken. He assured that efforts will be made to bring a high school to Dummulapet during the ongoing review of the establishment of schools in the state. Children’s education is the foundation of their future and parents should educate them to the highest standard. He said that the government is focusing on industries and job opportunities to increase employment opportunities for the youth along with education. *Special Eagle Teams for Ganja Control* Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that special Eagle Teams have been formed in addition to the police department to control ganja and drugs in the state. He said that these teams will work to keep a special eye on the illegal trafficking and use of ganja even when the police are engaged in their normal duties. He said that the Eagle Teams will constantly tour the field and pay special attention to the control of ganja. He asked the people to inform the special teams if they have information related to ganja and drugs. He said that the government is working to protect future generations by taking steps to keep the youth away from drugs. *Welfare on the basis of merit* Former Minister Chikkala Ramachandra Rao said that after the coalition government came to power, welfare schemes are being implemented on the basis of merit. He said that NTR Bharosa pensions are being distributed on time. He said that the pension, which was previously Rs. 3 thousand, is being increased to Rs. 4 thousand. He said that the government is implementing programs such as greeting mothers, construction of houses, three free gas cylinders, free bus travel for women and others. He explained that special attention is also being paid to the nutrition and health of children through ICDS and Anganwadi centers.
