CEC Gyanesh Kumar should resign: Government Whip Dr. Jatoth Ramachandranayak
Congress workers, led by government whip and Dornakal MLA Dr. Jatoth Ramachandranayak, staged a protest in front of the Mahabubabad Collectorate, alleging that the Election Commission was not acting impartially in the matter of voter lists and demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. They protested with placards and later burnt an effigy of Gyanesh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandra Nayak expressed concern over reports that a large number of voters’ names are being removed from the draft lists during the SIR process. He demanded that the Election Commission act with complete transparency and impartiality so that no eligible voter loses their right to vote. He said that more agitations will be taken up if necessary to protect the right to vote.
DCC President Bhukya Uma Murali Nayak, Municipal Chairman, Vice Chairman, Councilors, District and Mandal leaders, public representatives, Youth Congress leaders and activists participated in this program.
