Now the city-rural areas are under waterlogging, leading social activist Dusarlapudi Ramana Raju has protested, saying that it is the irresponsibility of the rulers. He took out a protest march on the canal road. He demanded that illegal bridges be removed and government bridges be constructed through PPP method. He said that the width of the canal has reduced from 30 to 12 feet and the depth has reduced from 30 to 4 feet. He said that due to the lack of cleaning of the canals, flood water, rain water and sewage water have entered the homes of the people. In view of the news that the Chief Minister is inaugurating the Meda Line private bridge, which was built diagonally at Indrapalem locks, on October 12, he demanded that the central and state governments declare the Meda Line mega bridge illegal!!
