Visakhapatnam, October 2 (Punnami Reporter) As part of the call of the Indian Journalists Union (IJU), journalists in Visakhapatnam organized a ‘Demands Day’ under the auspices of APUWJ and Electronic Media Association. They protested at the Gandhi statue and submitted a memorandum with their demands. They demanded that demands such as protection committee to prevent attacks on journalists, housing plots for eligible journalists, pension from the age of 58, accreditations for eligible ones, renewal of railway concession, and prevention of illegal cases be resolved. AP Electronic Media State General Secretary Ravulavalasa Ramachandra Rao, APUWJ Visakhapatnam District Presidents K. Ramu, Manabhoomi Satyanarayana, K. Chandramohan, K. Parasuram, P. Ramakrishna, Raju and others participated in the program.
