Punnami representative September 26: JAC leaders submitted a petition to Kadapa Executive Engineer Sri Hari Seva Nayak, demanding that contract and outsourcing workers in the electricity sector be integrated into the organization and regularized. Speaking, JAC Chairman Nagi Reddy said that about 30 thousand workers have been working in AP Genco, Transco and DISCOM companies for more than 20 years. He demanded that job and health security be provided to workers working in hazardous conditions. He demanded that the contractor system be abolished and the workers be integrated into the organization and regularized, and that equal pay for equal work be implemented. He demanded that appropriate benefits be provided to the workers at the time of retirement. JAC General Secretary Chandra Gangireddy, Coordinator Harikesava Reddy, Shiva Reddy, Nithya Pooja, Nagendra, Sudhakar, Ramesh and others participated in this program.
