Punnami News Correspondent (September 23): Vemula: Officials inspected the Chagaleru village secretariat on Wednesday. Later, they made people aware about the Swachh Rath and Bin Bag system in the village. As part of the Swachh Patham program in Vemula and Chagaleru gram panchayats, the system of separating wet and dry waste was explained through Green Ambassadors. It was suggested that wet waste should be placed in a bin and dry waste in a separate bag. If dry waste is provided to the Swachh Rath once every 15 days, then necessary essential items can be obtained in return. In the wake of the rainy season, people were advised to keep the village surroundings clean and to boil and cool water before drinking. Everyone was asked to cooperate in building clean villages by separating wet and dry waste. Deputy MPDO, Panchayat secretaries, secretariat staff, Green Ambassadors and village people participated in this program.
