Kuruma Yuva Chaitanya Samiti State President Kunde Venkatesh Kuruma has demanded that the Warangal Mamunur Airport be named after Doddi Komurayya, the first martyr and hero of the Telangana armed struggle. He said that Doddi Komurayya was a great man who fought for the rights of the people of Telangana and against exploitation. He said that Doddi Komurayya has a special place in the history of Telangana and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that his services are remembered by future generations. Kunde Venkatesh Kuruma said that by naming the Warangal Mamunur Airport after Doddi Komurayya, his sacrifice will be honored and his role in the history of Telangana will be brought to the public. Therefore, he requested the Telangana government to look into this matter positively and take an appropriate decision to name the Warangal Mamunur Airport after Doddi Komurayya.
