Railway Kodur: On the occasion of Bhagat Singh Jayanti, a program was organized under the auspices of public associations at the Railway Kodur CITU office on Monday. They garlanded the portrait of Bhagat Singh and paid tribute. They vowed to fight with the spirit of Bhagat Singh to protect the Constitution, democracy and the right to vote. Speaking on the occasion, Agricultural Workers Union District General Secretary Dasari Janardhan and CITU State Council Leader CH Chandrasekhar expressed concern over reports that a large number of voters’ names are being deleted in the SIR process. They demanded that the names of eligible voters be restored and obstacles in the registration of new voters be removed. They demanded transparency and accountability in the affairs of the Election Commission. They demanded that the SIR be stopped and CEC Dnyaneshwar Kumar resign. They said that they would make people participate in democracy protection programs from September 28 to October 2. Leaders and activists of KVPS, farmers, agricultural workers, CITU, and SFI participated in the program.
