Devotees believe that the Angaraka Sankashtahara Chaturthi, which falls in the month of Bhadrapada, has a special significance. Since the Chaturthi tithi falls on Tuesday, this day is called Angaraka Chaturthi. Devotees have a deep belief that if Lord Ganesha is worshipped with devotion and fasting, all the obstacles and problems faced in life will be removed.
It is considered special that Angaraka Chaturthi comes after the end of the Vinayaka Navratri festivities. Scholars say that it is auspicious to initiate new Ganesha initiations on this day as well as to cultivate the soil of those who are already initiated.
On the occasion of Angaraka Sankashtahara Chaturthi, Lord Vigneshwara is specially worshipped and 21 circumambulations are performed in the temple and Modakas and Undralas are offered as offerings. Devotees believe that if such worship is performed with devotion and devotion, all the problems will be removed by the mercy and grace of Lord Ganesha.
Special puja programs will be held on Tuesday to honor Lord Ganesha, who is endowed with siddhi and intelligence, at the Sri Maha Ganapathi Temple in Manthani town on the occasion of Angaraka Sankashtahara Chaturthi.
The fourth day after the full moon of every month is observed as Sankashtahara Chaturthi. On this occasion, it is customary to observe a fast, perform special pujas to the Lord after the moon rises at night, and have a meal. Devotees believe that worshipping Lord Ganesha on this day will remove obstacles in life and bring auspicious results.
