Khammam: Authorities have made tight security arrangements at the Dansalapuram lake in view of the Vinayaka immersion program. 18 cranes and JCBs have been kept ready to ensure the immersion program is carried out safely. 150 yard swimmers have been made available to respond immediately in case of emergency. Although the water level in the lake is at a normal level, strict measures have been taken to prevent any accidents and no one except yard swimmers are allowed into the lake. 20 CCTV cameras have been installed for continuous monitoring in the immersion area. Floodlights have been installed along with high mast lights to ensure clear light for devotees at night. Officials have advised devotees and Vinayaka mandapa organizers to follow the instructions of the authorities and conduct the immersion program peacefully and safely.
