Nirmal District October 01 (Punnami Representative) Nirmal: Aam Aadmi Party supports the removal of bogus votes and duplicate votes, but targeting voters belonging to only one group in that name and removing their voting rights is anti-democratic, said Aam Aadmi Party Telangana State Joint Secretary Syed Haider. He said that despite complaints about the removal of names from the voter list, there are allegations that some names have not been included again. He said that there are strong objections among the people against the removal of voting rights by showing some as dead and others as those who have left the area. He said that the right to vote is a fundamental democratic right provided by the Constitution, and it is worrying that the Election Commission, which is supposed to protect it, is acting in a way that is causing controversy. He made it clear that the Aam Aadmi Party is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, taking responsibility for these developments. In such circumstances, Syed Haider called on youth, civil society activists, student organizations, and various public organizations to unite beyond parties and mobilize for the protection of democratic rights. He stated that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the right to vote.
