Punnami Representative Anand (District Bureau) Anakapalle: CITU Anakapalle District Committee staged a protest at the Secretariat in Gavarapalem Park Center under the auspices of the state government’s police repression and illegal arrests of employees who had gone to Vijayawada to seek a solution to their legitimate problems. On this occasion, CITU District President V.V. Srinivasa Rao and General Secretary R. Shankar Rao said that it was unfair for the government to resort to restrictive measures when it was supposed to solve the problems of the employees. They said that the government was indifferent to the notional increments, pending dues and promotions due to the Secretariat employees who have been working for years. They demanded that the restrictive measures against the employees be stopped immediately and the suspension of the suspended leaders be lifted. They warned that if the issues are not resolved, they will intensify the movement across the state. CITU District Vice President Ganta Sriram, District Secretary Adigarla Raju, Kalla Telaiah Babu, Apparao, Ramu, Om Namashiva and others participated in the program.
