On this occasion, SFI Town Secretary B. Kushal Kumar, PNM-B Srinu along with CITU Ibrahimpatnam Mandal Secretary M. Mahesh organized a rally and paid tributes to the portrait of Sardar Bhagat Singh. Speaking on the occasion, they said that Bhagat Singh was a great revolutionary warrior who fought for the country’s independence, equality and social justice. He said that the atrocities of the British colonial rulers like the Jallianwala Bagh incident deeply affected him and that he sacrificed his life for the country’s independence. He called on students and youth to come forward for national unity, democracy and social justice in the spirit of Bhagat Singh’s ideals. He said that everyone has the responsibility to protect democratic values so that the fruits of independence are equally enjoyed by everyone. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar *should resign immediately!* – He should answer the criticism that neutrality is being compromised in the election process. – The election system should work in accordance with the spirit of constitutional democracy. – The people should be given clarity on the allegations that it is being acted in favor of the party in power. – The people should have faith in the conduct of free and fair elections. SFI–CITU demanded that the Election Commission should work independently, transparently and impartially to maintain people’s faith in the democratic system. Democracy needs non-partisan ideas — a transparent electoral system! SFI Students Federation of India wants to implement a democratic, transparent and people’s electoral system with dignity… *SFI leaders Shyam Kumar Reddy, Shahbashi and others participated in this program*
