East Godavari District, Amalapuram: PR engineers have launched a non-cooperation movement in the premises of the Amalapuram Panchayat Raj Engineering Division. It is not appropriate for the government to conduct repeated inspections on the works of NRG ESCC roads. On the call of the State PR JAC, engineers from all over the division attended the Panchayat Raj office on Monday and protested. On this occasion, JAC Convener. Anyam. Rambabu, Coordinator DE V. Chandrasekhar, K. Ramakanth, J. Murali Krishna, AE V. Radha Krishna, G. Satyanarayana, D.S.L. Sandhya, H. D. Lakshmana Rao and others participated. He said that engineers are facing mental anguish due to repeated inspections of CC roads laid in villages in the last 2 years. He expressed his concern that such actions are insulting to engineers who play a key role in the development of rural India. He said that while 9 QC teams are already investigating 1100 works at the district level, it is regrettable that the government has verbally ordered the vigilance teams to inspect them again in the meantime. He said that the engineers worked day and night to construct CC roads, and state governments and collectors received awards at the central level. They demanded that the inspections be stopped immediately.
