22 – 09 – 2026 Vijayawada – SC Commission Office *Manda Krishna Madiga meets SC Commission Chairman on Chikati Gopi Lockup Death Case* Guntur: Representatives of Dalit and Bahujan public organizations under the leadership of Padmashri Manda Krishna Madiga today met Andhra Pradesh State SC Commission Chairman K.S. Jawahar garu, demanding justice for the victim’s family in the Chikati Gopi lockup death incident. On this occasion, they brought the issues related to the Chikati Gopi death incident to the attention of the SC Commission Chairman. Padmashri Manda Krishna Madiga said that the Dalit and Bahujan public organizations welcome the SIT that the government will set up to bring the facts to light in this case. However, they requested the SC Commission to conduct a re-postmortem on the body under the supervision of AIIMS medical experts in order to fully uncover the truth in the case. Also, SC Commission Chairman K.S. Jawahar personally visited the victim’s family and asked them to find out the full details from the family members. He appealed to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Kakanti Gopi, bring the facts to light and take steps to ensure that justice is served to the victim’s family. Manda Krishna Madiga clarified that legal action will be taken against anyone responsible for this incident, and that the Dalit and Bahujan public organizations will continue the struggle until justice is served to the victim’s family.
