Press Release Holiday for Educational Institutions Safety of Students and Children Highest Priority – East Godavari District Nallajarla Mandal Punnami Representative September 24 In the wake of the impact of Cyclone Nallajarla and incessant heavy rains, keeping in mind the welfare and safety of students and children, District Collector Kirti Chekuri said that a compensatory holiday has been declared for schools, Anganwadi centers and colleges under all managements in East Godavari district tomorrow, September 25 (Friday). The Collector advised the principals of all schools in the district, Mandal Education Officers, Anganwadi Center staff, ICDS officers, college principals and managements to immediately inform the students and parents under their jurisdiction about this. He ordered that appropriate measures be taken to prevent students and children from being sent to schools, Anganwadi centers and colleges tomorrow under any circumstances. He clarified that in view of the current weather conditions, the safety of students and children should be given utmost priority.
