Construction of a bridge over Budameru stream begins. MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad laid the foundation stone. Solution to the problems faced by farmers for decades. Bridge construction at a cost of Rs. 75 lakhs. Now it is convenient for farmers to travel and transport crops. NTR District, Mylavaram, 18/09/2026. The long-standing problem of farmers on the Budameru stream in the Narayananagar area of Mylavaram town will be solved. In the wake of farmers facing severe difficulties in crossing the Budameru stream to reach their fields on the other side during the rainy season for decades, Mylavaram MLAs and TDP state spokesperson Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad laid the foundation stone of the low-level bridge to be built with DMF funds at an estimated cost of Rs. 75 lakhs on Friday. Due to the Budameru stream flowing from the Narayananagar area, there was severe disruption to the movement of farmers every year during the rainy season. When the flood flow in the stream increased, it became a big challenge for the farmers to go to the agricultural lands on the other side and move the crops. The problem became worse as the check dam built to control the floods in the past was also damaged. Farmers have been requesting for a long time to solve this problem. Recognizing the difficulties of the farmers, MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad took special initiative for the construction of the bridge. In this regard, proposals were prepared and permissions were brought for the construction of a low-level bridge with a fund of Rs. 75 lakhs. Since there is currently no water flow in the stream, the officials and the concerned staff were advised to start the work quickly and complete it as soon as possible. Once the construction of the bridge is completed, the transportation facilities for the farmers to go to hundreds of acres of agricultural lands in the surrounding areas of Narayananagar will improve, and the transportation of crops will also be easier. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad said that steps have been taken to construct the bridge with the intention of providing a permanent solution to the problem that the farmers have been facing for many years. He said that the coalition government is giving priority to the benefits of farmers and the creation of infrastructure necessary for agricultural development. He said that after the construction of the bridge is completed, the difficulties in the movement of farmers and transportation of crops will be significantly reduced. With this, the farmers of Narayananagar area expressed their joy and thanked MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad. Mylavaram constituency Jana Sena Party in-charge Akkala Rammohan Rao (Gandhi), local public representatives, coalition leaders, activists, officials, village people and others participated in this program. #Teamvasantha #VasanthaVenkatKrishnaPrasad #Mylavaram #NTRDistrict #TDP #ChandrababuNaidu #NaraLokesh #Farmers #Budameru Construction of a bridge over Budameru stream has begun.
