Nandyal: State Law and Minority Welfare Minister NMD Farooq said that steps are being taken to ensure that every eligible beneficiary receives pension on time. Minister Farooq and District Collector G. Rajakumari participated in the pension distribution program organized in Poluru village of Nandyal mandal on Thursday. On this occasion, the minister and the collector spoke to the beneficiaries and learned about their problems. The minister said that the government is providing pensions at the appointed time every month. Collector Rajakumari said that 16 types of pensions worth Rs. 92 crore are being distributed to about 2.09 lakh people in the district. He instructed the officials to grant pensions to the eligible ones as per the rules. Market Yard Chairman Guntupalli Haribabu, Tehsildar Srivani, MPDO Sugunasri, officials, public representatives and beneficiaries participated in the program.
