Pedabayalu: BJP leaders of Alluri district have requested immediate funds for the construction of a new tarmac road on the Guthulaputtu Santabayalu-Pedakodapalli-Bantrothuputtu-Kinchuru-Kimudupalli road in the mandal. A petition to this effect was submitted to the district collector on Monday. They said that this road, which is about 15 kilometers long, was built 15 years ago, but due to lack of maintenance, it has now become dilapidated. They said that the people of many panchayats, students and farmers are facing difficulties in commuting due to the potholes on the road. They said that the problem becomes more serious during the rainy season. The leaders said that the construction of a new tarmac road will improve transport facilities and contribute to the development of villages. BJP Alluri district president Matham Shanthikumari and Pedabayalu leaders Lake Bhaskara Rao participated.
