Locals said that the fire broke out suddenly due to a short circuit and the house was completely destroyed. They said that property loss of about Rs. 3 lakh was caused in the accident. Mekala Devanna expressed his grief over the loss he suffered. He requested the authorities and public representatives to respond, investigate the incident, provide adequate assistance to his family and bring justice.
