Khanapuram Punnami Representative: The Telangana High Court has given a key verdict in the case of disqualification of Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender. Danam Nagender won the 2023 assembly elections as a BRS candidate from Khairatabad. Later, a political controversy started that he had switched to the Congress. The disqualification issue became even more crucial after he contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as a Congress candidate from Secunderabad. BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and BJP Legislative Assembly leader Yeleti Maheshwar Reddy filed separate petitions seeking disqualification of Danam. However, the Speaker rejected the petition and challenged the decision and they approached the High Court.
