Vizianagaram: DRO CH. Satthibabu has instructed the officials to organize the 164th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahakavi Gurajada Apparao on the 21st of this month in a grand manner. In the wake of the government declaring Gurajada Jayanti as a state festival, he suggested that all departments should make coordinated arrangements. A procession will be held from Gurajada’s home to the bronze statue at 8:45 am, after which the song “Deshamante Matti Kadhoy” will be sung en masse. The DRO urged the program to be a success.
