Medipalli: The Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations in Peerjadiguda Annapurna Colony have concluded with great pomp. Under the auspices of ‘Annapurna Colony Friends Association’, the organizers organized the Ganesha immersion procession with great enthusiasm and grandeur. A large number of local people and devotees participated and bid farewell to Ganapati. The auction of the Lord’s Prasadam (laddu) for Rs. 1,35,000 as part of the Ganesh Laddu Kaivasam celebrations was held in a thrilling manner amidst the hustle and bustle of the devotees. Local celebrities Malipeddi Srinivas Reddy – Umadevi couple won the Lord’s Laddu for Rs. 1,35,000/-. Meanwhile, last year also, this same couple won the Laddu for Rs. 1,18,000/- in the auction. Mali Peddi Srinivas Reddy and his wife expressed their happiness at winning the divine prasad of the Lord for the second consecutive year and wished that all the residents of the colony may be blessed with good health and prosperity with the blessings of Lord Ganesha. They said that it is very auspicious for us to sprinkle the winning laddu prasad in the fields. Throughout the procession, Annapurna Colony was filled with bhajans, drum instruments and dances of the devotees. A large number of association representatives, colony women and devotees participated in this program.
