Despite the rain in Khammam city, the Ganesh immersion processions are continuing with enthusiasm. Ganesh idols are being brought for immersion from various parts of the city. Youth and devotees are enthusiastically participating in the processions with the sound of teenmar drums and DJs. Devotees are coming to bid farewell to Ganesha in a grand manner, despite the rain. Huge Ganesh idols decorated on special vehicles are moving forward through the main streets. Devotees are dancing along the way and shouting slogans of Jai Ganesh. Police and officials are monitoring the security arrangements to ensure that the processions do not face any trouble. Officials advise devotees and motorists to exercise caution as the roads are wet due to the rain. Necessary arrangements are also underway at the immersion areas.
